Our History

Measurement Instruments was formed in June 1999 from the merger of MIE INC. (Measurement Instruments East, Inc.) and WKM Associates. The new Measurement Instruments Company brought together two firms who collectively had been in business for approximately 90 years.

MIE INC. was founded in 1977 and WKM Associates was founded in 1961. Together, our combined experience represents over 90 years in the test and measurement industry. Today, Measurement Instruments has 26 people: 15 outside salespeople and 11 support staff members, serving customers from offices in Detroit, Indianapolis, Cleveland, Dayton, Columbus, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Frederick MD, and Richmond VA.

Achievements

Measurement Instruments has been recognized for excellence in sales representation and technical support. Our team brings deep expertise in test and measurement instrumentation, sensors, power supplies, data acquisition, calibration standards, and industrial computing solutions.
